About the Position:

The Podcast Producer and Editor will work directly with our Marketing and Brand Manager to assist in the recording and editing of podcasts, videos, and other marketing materials. Responsibilities include equipment setup, operation, editing, and troubleshooting issues if they arise. The Podcast Producer and Editor will be responsible for editing and producing both video and audio files. The final content will be posted to social media, our firm’s website, and our YouTube channel. This position may involve fulfilling other tasks as assigned. 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years industry-related experience in podcast audio and video production. Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro is required while Adobe Audition and After Effects experience is also preferred. At least 2 days each week of availability is required, with hours available between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. This position will primarily work in our Marietta office with the potential to work certain hours remotely. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-production: Set up recording equipment and ensure all necessary gear is functioning properly. Conduct sound checks and make adjustments to optimize audio quality.
• Recording Sessions: Operate podcast recording equipment and camera during recording sessions. Monitor audio levels and video feeds during recording. Manage and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise during the session.
• Post-Production: Edit audio and video recordings to remove errors and unnecessary segments. Enhance sound quality using mixing and mastering techniques (if needed). Finalize episodes by adding intros, outros, and advertisements as required.
• Quality Control: Review final productions to ensure they meet content and quality standards. Maintain an organized archive of all audio and video files.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in podcast and video production
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Adobe Audition and After Effects experience preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong technical skills and problem-solving ability
