Orrin “Checkmate” Hudson

Today on the Wiser Roundtable Podcast, Orrin “Checkmate” Hudson joins Casey Smith for a special community spotlight episode.

Listen on Apple Podcasts or watch on YouTube:

Summary:

Casey and Orrin begin the podcast by discussing how Orrin uses chess to teach young people how to navigate the complexities of life. Orrin first learned how to play chess when he was young. Chess gave him the tools and strategies to think for himself. Orrin is on a mission to show people that you can make better choices if you think before you move, and do no harm.

Pattern recognition is the key to success in all fields. Once you recognize patterns in life, you can predict success and failure better. If you want to be successful, be a giver. Serve people, add value, do more than you’re paid for and you will win every time.

Orrin currently works with young people to educate them on how to deal with law enforcement. He teaches them how to be respectful, be calm, and to do what they are told. He mentions it is important to fight the case in the court system, not on the side of the road.

Orrin emphasizes that we all are one. His goal is to uplift and inspire everyone he meets, everywhere he goes. Orrin is doing an amazing job educating and helping young people make better decisions. If you would like to support the great work he is doing, here is a link to his GoFundMe page.
