Summary

Missie Beach, CFP®, CDFA®, Senior Financial Advisor at Wiser Wealth Management has over 20 years of experience in financial planning at large independent RIA firms. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® professional. Missie was recently recognized on Money’s 2024-2025 Best Financial Planners list. She has also served as the past Chairman of NAPFA’s South Region and the Chair of the Leadership Development Committee. Missie has also been a speaker at notable conferences like Invest in Women and the Southeast RIA Summit.

College and Early Career

Missie studied business and dance at Wake Forest University. The discipline and dedication she learned as a ballerina carried over into her professional life, shaping her work ethic and commitment to excellence. Though she started her career in sales, Missie quickly realized her passion lay in helping individuals navigate their financial futures. This realization led her to earn a master’s degree in personal financial planning from Georgia State University. That set the stage for a career dedicated to client focused financial advice.

Overcoming Challenges in a Male-Dominated Industry

Entering the financial industry as a woman came with its fair share of obstacles. Missie faced workplace cultures that often sidelined her, despite her qualifications and dedication. In many instances, she was overlooked for client meetings and was even recognized for being a working mother rather than for her professional achievements. These experiences fueled her determination to advocate for a workplace that truly supports and values women in finance.

The Importance of Integrity in Financial Planning

Throughout her career, Missie has remained steadfast in her belief that financial planning should be about more than just numbers. She believes its focus should be on the people behind them. In contrast to many large firms that prioritize acquisitions and profit driven models, she emphasizes a comprehensive and client first approach. Her commitment to honest, transparent advising has made a meaningful difference in the lives of the people she works with.

Empowering Women and Young Families

One of Missie’s passions is helping women build financial confidence, particularly those who may feel uncertain about managing money. She has made it a priority to dismantle the self doubt that often holds women back from fully engaging in their financial planning. She also finds great fulfillment in working with young families, helping them establish strong financial foundations for the future. Whether working with individuals just starting their financial journeys or those navigating complex financial decisions, her approach is centered on education, empowerment, and long term success.

Missie’s Commitment to Meaningful Client Relationships

Reflecting on her career, Missie is proud to be part of a firm that prioritizes genuine connections with clients. She has seen firsthand how large scale financial firms often lose sight of their clients’ best interests in pursuit of growth. By embracing a fee only model, Wiser Wealth Management ensures that its advisors can focus on what truly matters, helping clients achieve financial security and peace of mind.
