Delta Pilots Guaranteed Variable Universal Life (GVUL) – What Action You Need to Take

Under Delta’s open enrollment, pilots have a new life insurance option called Guaranteed Variable Universal Life (GVUL) Insurance Policy, in addition to their traditional Delta term policy with Metlife. These policies have the same death benefit of around $1,060,000, based on a pilot’s highest pay times 2,500. The difference between both policies is the policy premiums. The GVUL policy premium is less costly than the group term premium, which allows for savings on your tax return. Even though these savings will not make you rich, it still makes sense to switch from the traditional Delta Term policy to the Guaranteed Variable Universal Life policy.
